At the age of 8, Andy knew he wanted to be an Architect. A native of Grafton, Ontario, Andy attended high school in Cobourg, where he graduated as valedictorian of his class.
Andy then attended the University of Waterloo for Architecture, where he spent the next 7 years studying art, design, architectural iconography, and critical thinking, among other things. His 4 months studying architecture in Rome, Italy, had a profound effect on him, ultimately influencing the methods of residential design he still uses today. Andy graduated university with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Architecture. Since graduating, Andy has had many varied life and career experiences, but designing and creating have always been central to his core being.
Andy is a registered BCIN designer with Ontario's Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. The added advantage of having been trained as an architect brings significant value to his designs. Even the smallest detail of the simplest project receives careful thought and iterative design. For the past 20 years, Andy has provided full design services for clients desiring high-value custom homes in varying styles and sizes.
